The Buckeyes Losing Is A Sign Of Jesus’s Return!

Momentary, light affliction for Buckeye fans is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison (2 Corinthians 4:17 OGV).

It’s been over a week since The Ohio State University (aka the Buckeyes) lost to TTUN (aka That Team Up North).

I’ve been grieving.

I haven’t been able to talk about it. My wife keeps asking what is wrong. My moping reached the point that her cat jumped on my lap and started to purr – and I didn’t throw the cat to the ground.

Then I found peace.

I realized that the Buckeyes (aka The Ohio State University) losing to Michigan (aka TTUN) is a sign of the soon return of Jesus. The Bible clearly teaches that the faithful will endure tribulation with increasing intensity and frequency.

As a faithful follower, I trust scripture more than ESPN.

I agree with the “increasing intensity” but not “frequency” bit for Ohio State fans. Next year the Wolverines (aka Michigan) will experience increased tribulation with eternal frequency when they come to Columbus (aka home of the Buckeyes).

Scripture teaches that the signs of Jesus’s return will arrive in bunches with brief periods of respite. Since Michigan has lost to Ohio State  17 of the last 20 games – I take comfort in the fact that while the faithful endure momentary affliction with one loss, the Michigan unfaithful will again suffer wrath.

Until Jesus returns!

I love reading the Apostle Paul’s writings about the end times.

You should not be uninformed about suffering defeat and grieve as those without hope! (1 Thessalonians 4:13 OGV [aka Old Guy Version]

Also:

For God has not destined The Ohio State University Buckeyes for wrath but for obtaining victory over Michigan (1 Thessalonians 5:9 OGV [aka Pastor Grant is the Old Guy]).

And:

The Devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone along with the beast and the false prophet (Revelation 20:10).

End Times Alert! End Times Alert! Biblical scholars now agree that a “wolverine” is a “beast!”

Those who don’t live in the State of Ohio in the USA or in the SNOO (State North of Ohio), may not know of this football rivalry. I write this Interruption because of 2 Corinthians 1:8, “Brother and sisters I do not want you to be unaware of extreme suffering in the State of Ohio” (OGV).

The Old Testament allegorically prophesies the intensity of this rivalry when it describes the warfare between Israel (aka Buckeye fans) and the Philistines (aka Wolverine fans).

According to the cleansing laws in the Book of Leviticus – Ohioans who travel through Michigan, upon reentering the Promised Land (aka Ohio), must stop at a Cleansing Station along the interstate.

I feel much better. After a thorough and unbiased review of scripture, I have eternal hope. I also have compassion for Michigan fans – they will need it in 2022!

And in 2023! And in 2024! And in 2025! And in 2026! And until Jesus returns!

Michigan fans — you have already figured out that I need lots of prayer.
