My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me (John 10:27, ESV)! All followers of Jesus are called “sheep” by Jesus Himself. It is not a flattering description. Sheep can be stubborn, independent, easily getting themselves into trouble, and often ignoring their shepherd who tries, often desperately,  to keep them out of trouble.
