Favorite Verse of the Week:
I’ve been circling Psalm 139 this week. When I read a chapter that challenges me, I read it over and over for several days.
This week I have been blessed by Psalm 139:
Thou hast enclosed me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me. (v 5)
Where can I go from thy Spirit? (v 7)
If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. And the light around me will be night. Even the darkness is not dark to thee, and the night is as bright as day. Darkness and light are alike to thee. (vv 11-12)
How precious are thy thoughts to me, O God; How vast is the sum of them! (v 17)
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts and see if there be any harmful way in me. And lead me in the everlasting way. (vv 22-24)
If you are experiencing discouragement or depression:
Read Psalm 139 over and over during the next week. God’s presence is always with you. Yes, even in darkness, He is light. Allow the attitude and “presence” of the Spirit to chase away depression next week.
Think: Every time during the next week, when you find yourself having a dark thought, remember…

Updates:
- I am making plans to teach a First Steps Zoom Conference (you can find out more about First Steps at www.grantedwardsauthor.com) in both the Philippines and Russia soon. Both will be taught early in the day. If you want to join, send me a request and I will send credentials for the conferences when available.
- Praying for podcasting. My equipment is ready; now finding the time to consistently read and publish to a podcasting platform. I am praying for resources to enlist the aid of a “media conductor” – someone to help with the social media aspect of the content that I’m developing.
