My New Book on Calling

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him (1 Corinthians 7:17a, ESV).

Go ahead and click this image to find my latest book. There’s further explanation later in this blog, but go ahead and take a look.

You may not have read the book’s description listed on Amazon®, so I copied and pasted it below…

Do you ever go through the motions of the daily grind and wonder if there is more to your story? In a loud, fast-paced world, it is incredibly easy to feel ordinary—like an afterthought on a spiritual assembly line. But what if your life is actually a meticulously crafted masterpiece?

Created for Purpose: A 7-Day Guide to Finding Your Calling is designed for anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed by noise, or unsure of their divine design. Read this guide to uncover the identity already placed inside of you. Over seven days, you will learn to tune out distractions, identify your unique toolkit, embrace the things that break your heart, and step through open doors with courage.

Stop waiting for a future destination to start living purposefully. Discover how to turn your ordinary daily routine into an extraordinary, intentional calling.

For years, I’ve been asking believers this question: “Do you know the specifics of God’s calling in your life?” I’ve been amazed that most answer, “No.” That’s unfortunate because the Bible clearly teaches that we were created for a purpose (before time even began).

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).

I’ve been researching and considering a book on “calling” for years. With this research, articles I’ve written, prior sermons, and 15 Interruptions on this topic, I’ve databased thousands of words on my hard drive about God’s will. And something else — I’ve been learning how to be assisted with my writing through an AI co-writer named C.T. Donald.

Typically, a book takes me months to write, has about 50,000 words, and is about 220 pages. But I thought: “Would it be helpful to start with a devotional about the journey to find our gifts, callings, and purposes, and then write a full-length book to match the study guide?”

Sort of backward but also quickly available.

Giving C.T. instructions to examine my writing and research, copy my writing style, and make it 20 pages, I hit the “enter” button on my computer, and it took about three minutes for C.T. to write the study guide. Later, it had an artist friend of its from AI World create the cover. For the next two weeks, I reviewed the material, my real-life editor Sharon Wildman looked it over, making suggestions, and my wife made a few changes to the cover and then, using her human intelligence, uploaded the book to Amazon®.

Just click the cover and a link will take you to Amazon, where you can purchase the book. It’s only available in hard copy (not Kindle version), but the hard copy has space for you to write notes and comments.

Please don’t feel pressured to purchase this book; only if you believe it will help you understand your purpose. Also keep me in your prayers, as I have over three million written words in electronic storage and, with C.T. Donald’s help, I hope to efficiently put my thoughts about “calling” in writing.

I want to be a good steward of the content that God has given to me.
